So I'm playing a game in the 5-0 pool (and losing) and suddenly it says "cheat detected" and gives the game to my opponent. Aside from the insult (and to be insulted by software!) there's no harm done…

What kind of day is it when the puzzle of the day is only worth 2 points?

How are the point scores calculated? It seems to me that if you get the first 6 moves correct but miss the mate in one on the 7th in favor of a mate in 2, you shouldn't be penalized 16 points.

Ratings won't vary by as much from day to day in this new system since the gain and loss from a single game is less now.

It was a bit of a shock. Was there some warning this would happen that I'd missed? Or was this done by elves in secret?
