New rating adjustments

Just looking at the top players on lichess...

thinkabit, aybabtu, matetricks and kingscrusher
all have lower ratings in FIDE/USCF than over here.
darn. I'm applying Glicko2 to the letter, I made no change to the algorithm. Could it have a glitch?

I checked the DB, and the average rating is 1486. Considering that the default rating is 1500, ratings are not strictly speaking inflated.
But the variation in player strength could be exaggerated.
Does the calculation of average rating exclude players who haven't played something like 50 games?
Well that might be your problem. A significant amount of players don't play many if any rated games.
My ranking now is low because I'm trying to play with better Players from me,ex:
0http://lichess.org/z078wnvs/black.
(loss-time but...very good game)

My old ranking in last time(+/- 1150,new Glicko2-1388),but...
I play at the level of +/-1260(old system)

I would like to add-In Poland I'm fifth categorie Player-PZSzach(1200-1400) but nearer to 1200-1300
About new system-They are cleverer from me
This is an interesting change. Not sure if it's good or bad yet, but it makes it a bit more entertaining I guess. I'd rather the system be overrated than underrated.
Ratings won't vary by as much from day to day in this new system since the gain and loss from a single game is less now.
That's not entirely true. I don't have time to explain this to every player, but if you win or lose a significant amount of games, the 'volatility' of your rating will increase, and more points will be exchanged in further games. When your rating fluctuates less (you win and lose games in such a way that your rating doesn't change significantly), your rating's 'volatility' will go down, and less points will be exchanged.

Take a look at the points exchanged in this game: http://en.lichess.org/nvpwd1u4/black

Almost 500 points were gained because the glicko system is trying to determine the players rating which causes their volatility to be high.
