I wouldn't wish this on anyone, and this moment was extremely painful for my parents. I was very lucky to recover, thanks to the love of my parents and the excellent lifestyle I have. the allergist told my parents that I am lucky and that my immune system was strong, and that if the dose of antibiotics was higher, I could have lost a kidney (and have lifelong problems)
a few years later i've told my story to a person, and I heard his testymony : their neighbor's child did not survive such an allergy to penicillin... heartbreaking.
it's rare and I don't want to shame antibiotics because they save lives too, but this allergy is rare, dangerous, and difficult to detect, so i wish to anyone to take care.
