Display chess opening in the match

@GuerrillaChess
Right, you want it on live games. That is a big red flag to your opponents, as soon as the opening line transposes into something they weren't familiar with. Especially if an obscure trap pops up.

I would not be against this being available in spectator mode. But I don't like the players being able to see it.
Over the board chess doesn't have it.
I don't see the reason to implement this.

Actually I see a reason to not:
I wouldn't like the website to tell to my opponent (and me neither):
"Hey cool down, it's just this variation. You have played it again. Just recall the theory."

Giving away this information is just not part of the game.

The fact that other other websites do that, doesn't add anything to the validity of this request.
I don't think that mimicking without any other reasoning is positive.

I recognise that more features look fancier but fancier is not necessary better.

I agree with #11

I play the albin countergambit in which you often utilize the lasker trap. The trap is recognised by the pgn notation when black plays dxe3 (1. d4 d5 2. c4 e5 3. dxe5 d4 4. e3 Bb4+ 5. Bd2 dxe3). Just as black sets the trap, as he offers up a free piece as bait, it is identified to white as a trap.

So yeah that needs to be addressed.
I see no reason to provide such information during play in normal mode. It's a kind of theoretical assistance, even though usually not very useful.

What I would love to see however is a special mode where both players have access to the opening database. This would be an interesting variation (in which the knowledge of openings is reduced), but even more importantly it would be great way to learn openings.
