Titled Arena Announcement(s)

I am following both Vasif Durarbayli and Former_Player, so I know about it. I agree that it has become difficult even for many strong GMs to earn by playing. The competition has become fiercer and there has been a sort of global crisis since 2020 for various reasons which should be analyzed elsewhere. Many people face problems, not only chess players.
As for online chess, stricter fair-play measures and broader approach to big tournaments would help, but those two conditions go against each other, as with a growing number of participants the anti-cheating procedures become more complicated.
I had been struggling between autumn 2020 and summer 2021, when the Czech Republic was heavily affected by Covid-19 and there were no tournaments for almost 9 months. Earning about 500 euros per months for about half a year while working on chess, occasionally giving lectures, sometimes playing Titled Tuesdays or Titled Arena without winning anything, not getting invitations to the big online events with decent prize money and giving interviews to media about the boom of chess caused by Beth Harmon (The Queen's Gambit) was depressing. My perception of time has deteriorated sharply back then and the problem still persists to some extent. While I was not getting invitations to big online events in 2020 and 2021, I got several of them in 2022, although my playing strength has remained about the same during that period, with some inevitable ups and downs. I am wondering why I got so few invitations for big online events in 2020-2021 and so many in 2022. In general, some players were luckier than others in this respect and I know that situation from both perspectives. It seems that the situation is improving now, as more players get the chance to qualify for those big events now.
In many European countries professionals get stable income from the league matches, and then perhaps from the state in many countries, although it can vary a lot. Perhaps I should be glad that I can earn money in leagues, skipping the Titled Arenas is not a big deal then. That said, I believe that staging some Titled Arenas at a different time would make a sense, as it would have allowed more players to take part.

> If the prize-money for those Titled Arenas would be 100 times higher then I am pretty sure many professionals would just drop OTB-chess. Today only a few players can live from online chess so priority is for most professionals still OTB. I see some improvements for online chess but it is very small and slow.

> However maybe it will solve by itself as OTB is clearly also getting worse every day for professionals see lichess.org/@/Durarbayli/blog/am-i-a-chess-tourist/FZyZuxSh
