Just 2 inaccuracies!

I was playing as black. Pretty standard up until Move 9, I had to decide on whether to exchange on d4 or not. I saw that I could get a bishop though so went for that line...

I was looking at c5 on move 13 but had to defend the bishop, would have been great if I only had just one extra tempi..

Played a move later 14 .... b5

Things got super mind bending here if I played d4 then my opponent had c6 which seemed unpleasant.

16 Rd1 was a nice pin on my queen.. I looked at so many replies and just went with my gut, there seemed to be a fork any which way...

18 Nc6, it's really getting hairy now, one false move and the position is surely gonna crumble.. Qe8 seemed like the best idea at the time, the only place I felt at peace with the tricky knights lurking..

20.. Qxb8 seemed like a good trade for me, I guess you could say I'm half a piece up considering I had to give up a rook for the extra piece..

24 Rd2 I think was a big mistake, now I can come swooping in with the gallant steed..

26... d3 and it's all over really, this game was super tense during the middle game and great fun to play, it was nice to see I only had 2 inaccuracies too!

Thanks for checking it out, any comments are always welcome.

Of course you did not take 9...cxd4 as that leaves you with a weak pawn on d5 and as 9...c4 allows you to trade his bishop for your knight.
I would not play 13...c5. His pawn d4 is weak, e.g. 13...Qb6 attacks d4 and b2 simultaneously.
18...Qe8 was not the fastest win. 18...Bxc6 19 Qxc6 Rbc8 defends your rook and bishop while attacking his queen and knight.
I'm curious if there was any way at all he could save it at the end when he resigned.
@breakreign I'm not sure if he could have saved the game tbh, maybe prolonged it at best as he was 2 pieces down by that stage, pretty much a losing battle.

@tpr Ahh I didn't look at that Bxc6 line as I wanted to keep the pin going but looking at it you could be right. Thanks for the input.
