Time Control

I like the ideas by JannLee. Prefer it to exclusively 3+2. The variety seems nice.
For a monthly or weekly prize tournament, I could see the more rapid time controls as being quite valid. However, I would propose something in the rapid to standard time control range if we are calling this a world championship. Perhaps 15 10 or 40 0 or something. I think that this would be beneficial to crazyhouse players for three reasons. First, the players would have time to really analyze a position they are playing for once instead of learning the best line post mortem. Second, the crazyhouse community seems to be lacking quality grandmaster games, while the chess community benefits immensely from being able to study grandmaster games in any opening that have been pondered for enough time to eliminate most mistakes. Third, many players, myself included, tend to play styles and openings that are ultimately unsound, but work in time pressure because the proper defense against them is very tricky and full of pitfalls. It would serve players well to be able to navigate these types of lines with sufficient time to calculate.
This may be more difficult, logistically, but I think it would be worthwhile to at least consider a more formal time control to suit the title of the tournament.
I'm really serious about Chucklemagne's suggestion, and am glad such a strong player is supporting it...So, if the top players accept such long time controls, I'm throwing in an extra $300.
We have to follow the world cup for best experience i think:
Magnus Carlsen believes this is the best system, even he wants it to be made for the world championship of chess!

Please read FORMAT in the link below:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess_World_Cup_2015#Format

SAME LIKE IN WORLD CUP (except small time controls):
7+2 - 2 games
5+2 - 2 games
3+2 - 2 games

(except for the final where they should be 4 games)
- final an armageddon game (in which a draw counts as a win for Black) . White had 3 minutes and Black had 2 minutes and 22 seconds, with an increment of 2 seconds/move starting from move 22.
(9 minutes max to finish one game)

I suggest every round to be every Saturday or Sunday. So you have one week to prepare for your next opponent!
And it would be fun because nobody will wait anybody!
And then time controls can be even longer like:
11+11 - 2 games
7+7- 2 games
5+5- 2 games
3+3- 2 games
and final an armageddon game (in which a draw counts as a win for Black) . White had 3 minutes and Black had 2 minutes and 20 seconds, with an increment of 3 seconds/move starting from move 20.

Another nice feature would be SECOND CHANCE especailly if you are eliminated in the first round:)

I mean DOUBLE knockout system:
For example:
Participant 512 and You are eliminated in 1st round but then You get Second chance!
You play with another loser from 1st round You beat him! You progress!
then you are playing with a loser from round 2 (winner bracket) if you beat him you continue survivng
but you only have one life left because you are in the loser bracket.

FINAL DAY: Top 8 from the winner bracket + Top 4 from the loser bracket + 4 people ( participants in the tournament maded at least top 64 and won the prize! №1 Most liked player by the viewers №2 The guy lost the game with most winning chances, №3 The guy won a game with most blunders he made №4 RANDOM GUY from guys left to place 64 :)
@penguingim1 Yeah, but long TC zh would be really cool and...really deep :). Maybe we can make this tournament run from the start of 2017 till like mid 2017...that way, we can have each match, say, span 3 weeks and include 8 or so 15+10 games.

@soldier89_kn Hmm...interesting. Yeah, I'm going with the knockout format à la World Cup. A double knockout is interesting...Yeah, why not. Let's see what others think first, though.

It will be the "Crazyhouse World Blitz Championship".
We need 2 hours + 30 sec/move for the "Crazyhouse World Championship" !
